TechniqueDrop ShotSeasonSummerStructurePointsAnother scorching day. Bass were chasing shad at first light at entrance to coves off of the main lake. Whopper plopper in whitish colors worked. Later , Roboworms in assorted colors in 15-25 ft dropshotted caught some. Mustad alpha point finesse hook in size 1 with a 1/4 oz tungsten weight was the ticket. These new hooks are very sharp. Not one fish came unhooked.

Long Points on main lake in about 12-25ft largemouth we’re predominantly biting drop shot. Tried 10” worm off same points all day and 1 little bite. Drop Shot Bubble Gum and Morning Dawn colors for the job done today on Pleasant before it got hot.

TechniqueSoft Body Swimbaits (Small/Medium)SeasonSummerStructureReefSlow rolling underspin with 6th Sense Divine Swimbait over submerged reefs and marking fish in about 25 foot of water. Was also finding boils chasing shad and managed to hook into a 15.5lb striper. They were boiling about 10-15 yards off a main lake reef chasing shad. Fish were marking in about 25 foot to surface. Lots of schools in about 25-20foot early in morning. Bite shut down at 9:15am.
