I love catching these Smallmouth Bass this time of year on Lake St Clair. I was throwing a Gold Blade bait in 6-8ft of water around steel barriers where I found bait. The water temp was 49-51 degrees where I caught fish

The fish were starting to move up due to the warm front we had. They were STACKED in 12 FOW near shallower water. If I was able to get the jerk bait down close to the bottom they almost always bit it. No long pauses needed they were crushing it.
