We hunted on the outside edges of weed beds between 16 and 14 feet, ticking the tops of our weeds with our chatterbaits, mini maxes, an underspin swimbait, and the occasional drop shot. Water clarity was incredible, and it was a top 5 day out on LSC!

TechniqueDrop ShotSeasonSummerStructureOpen Water/BasinLake St-Clair is a huge featureless bowl filled with sand and grass. Short scrubby sand grass with sand spots mixed in can be dynamite as the summer pattern locks in. A drift in a 7-10mph wind dragging a dropshot out deep can be incredibly productive and when u find something it’s often all yours until you talk too much.
