It Was an abnormally hot October day with temps in the 70s with partial cloud coverage. I wasn’t sure on how to approach a river system like this, As soon as I got to see the lake I noticed that the water is 12-15 ft low, with “do nothing banks”. I started my time on the water scanning for a bit to try to get a feel for how the lake lays out, I found a lot of sand and that’s about it. After scanning in the morning I moved to the next arm down. Here I started throwing a jerkbait and caught a couple white bass within an hour. (Those will make some crispy treats!) Soon after, I found a couple schools of smallies that seemed to be cornering bait on an inside turn. Upon seeing how I jerk my bait these smallies became unhinged and wanted to kill it. Fun day, biggest being 3lb9oz

Best luck using green worms and large leeches on spinners. Trolling slow and wind drifting mix. 1 1/2 to 2 oz weights. Caught one short of limit.
