Lake Stevens is filled with Kokanee which makes for some giant bass. Find schools of Kokanee and the smallies won’t be far. I found that the black shiner flat worm was the ticket out in open water. Beware of pleasure boaters during summer but highly recommend this lake.

Caught this guy as it sunk to the bottom at around 16-20ft depth. Medium-heavy spinning rod with 12lb braid and 12lb fluoro 15’-ish leader. Great fight overall. 3lbs 6oz
