A cold front came in and brought snow in the morning but the bite was still pretty good. The wind was strong so I tried to stay out of it in the creek arms. Fishing in the old lily pad stems produced most of the bites. Throwing a chatterbait through them worked well but don't be afraid to throw a buzzbait as well. Even with the cool water and freezing air temps, a Cavitron Buzzbait produce a lot of bites and gave me my largest bass. The rocky jetties also produced a lot of bass but smaller in size. Throw a crankbait on all sides, lipless or with a lip both worked. In the afternoon the bite stopped in the shallow areas and they were out in the deeper water.

We had our first tournament of the year at Lake Sugema. The bite was hot for me from the start until about 11:30, and then it died off. I was getting them to bite off of the jetty points and secondary windblown points. The zman jack hammer and razor shadz combo was HOT all morning. The water was clear to about 8-12 feet
