I found some fat smallmouth that seemed like they were getting ready to spawn on the hard rock. The water was still pretty cold in the current being in the mid 50s, but that didn’t affect their willingness to eat. The ned rig came through and overall a great day on the river!

It was a beautiful day on the river. Blue bird skies, high water, and just a little chop. We were able to find a ton of cats up the creeks about as far up as we could get the boat. We were catching them almost exclusively on stink/dip bait with some coming on worms as well. Cut bait was not it, so switched over to the dip bait and got bit immediately. Great day on the water and even better fish fry. (Hot bait does not apply - did not have the dip bait we used)
