Had a lot of success early in the day catching largemouth with a swim jig and paddle tail trailer by casting near laydowns, points, and weed edges. As the late afternoon rolled around, switched to a Whopper Plopper and casted points and weed edges with great success. Fish were healthy and abundant.

Larger bass were hunkered down around submerged vegetation adjacent to spawning flats in 6-8 feet of water. Slow presentations like an unweighted Flush were the key to getting a few quality bites. Using quality Bajio shades to seek out areas with the thickest vegetation was worth the time investment. Sunline Overwatch is amazing for long casts with spinning reels and that was important with the high, sunny skies in shallow water.
