Big ones too. However, they did not want what I was offering. Frustrating. However, Always a good day of fishing no matter how many fish I catch... or don't catch. Very grateful. I would say, go early and hit the big fish spots. Then relax with your finesse rigs; drop shot and ned rigs. Targeted big fish with Topwater Dawg, Frog and Cullshad. No big fish. Caught 4 lil' Smallmouth with BIG appetites and attitudes. Gorgeous cloudy day with no wind and a little sprinkling of rain. Put in at Spokane Campground launch and we towards damn. Water has cooled off due to the rain however visibility is good at this side of the lake. 8-10 ft. Fishing was phenomenal. I was fishing the ledges 10-15 ft. Caught 30+ fish (all smallmouth). Unfortunately all but 3 were under a 2 lbs. Fortunately one was 4.5 lbs!!! Really fun day and I made the right choice going down river/lake.

Fishing was very SLOWWWwwww today. The visibility was either 2 ft. or 10 ft depending on where you were in vicinity to the Carp. The flats had active bass that were on a bed or just cruising. The no wind and clear water made them very skittish. Hard to almost impossible to catch. The technique I used was to spot a fish and back off to where I could not see them. Then I would long cast with a ned rig and try to visualize where the fish was. Long day at Long Lake. Caught 3. Biggest was 2.75 lbs

Caught some nice fish. Found some still on beds. Fishing has slowed down. Beautiful Northwest Day!

The recent rain and subsequent run-off has lowered the temperature of the water. Visibility however was fair, 6-7 ft, The Big bass were in ambush mode and most of the strikes I got were very aggressive. They were staging under overhangs in around 3'-4' next to a weed line or drop off. In General smaller bass were actively feeding and the fishing was fantastic. Long Lake is happening right now!

Fantastic fishing today. Water visibility was around 3-5 ft. Fish were Not as skitterish and very active. This big girl here broke my PB at 5.15 lbs. Glorious beast who looked like she had been to war. Long Lake is on fire right now!
