TechniqueNed RigsSeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureSubmerged VegetationThis lake is something special to me and I hate doing this but I’ll give a little juice. The bluegill beds are popping right now. Go out and find them, some produce way better then others you just have to try some things out around them and you will get bit

TechniqueSwim JigsSeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureLily PadsWater temps mid 60s, water clarity was good. Lots of smaller bass eating a jig being swam around covet, grass, dock and emerging pads. Good number and a fee quality fish. In dead calm areas switched to wacky rig dingers.

TechniqueTexas Rigs (Pitch/Flip)SeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureSubmerged VegetationMid June marks the Post Spawn period in lakes around the metro. Fish can be in a bit of a funk, but also can be ready to put the feedbag on to recover from the Spawn. While we found a few fish using offshore rocks in 10-15', the majority of our action was flipping milfoil and pad edges in 3-6' where there was good grass. Needed to avoid areas where grass didn't look healthy or it was scummy. 1/2 Texas rigs w/ Ringed 4/0 EWG hooks and creature baits (D-Bombs) dominated both in numbers & quality fish. Several fish between 3-4lbs. 7'4" rods, high speed reels with 17-20lb Fluoro did the job.

TechniqueBladed JigsSeasonSpring (Spawn)StructureDocksMid 60 degree water temp with air temps in the high 40s. Absolute wack fest on lotus this morning. Caught a lot of quality largemouth on a mix between a jackhammer, swim jig and skipping jig. Over the emerging milfoil I fished a jackhammer or swim jig when the wind calmed down and skipped docks to pick up bites as well.
