They are sticking close to cover and ambushing prey such as bluegill. Squarebill crankbaits were the ticket. Bouncing them off of submerged timber led to lots of reaction strikes. A medium speed retrieve was working best at the current water temperature.

Flipping a wacky rigged senko near a large tree laydown. It was lying in the shadows of the laydown. The 2lb2oz bass hit it on the initial float down. Also caught two other smaller bass in the same method.
