Water temp was 71, and visibility was about 2 feet. Seemed the bass were primarily chasing after schooling perch. The pattern ended up being wacky worms around fallen trees. We came in with 4 fish, unfortunately shook one off that wasn't hooked really well. Biggest one came off a rat-l-trap when it was getting dark ripped back in from the shallows.

By the raw mouths it looked like primary forage for bass right now in Maple is Blueish Craws. Started fishing around 6:40 and had what amounted to a 17lb bag by 11:00am. Water temp was 73-75 for most of the time we were out. Fish were out the middle during the early morning and popping on small baitfish, but couldn't get a lot of top water working. Was able to get a couple on a prop bait and a big popper. Once the sun came out the bass started moving up to the docks/laydowns and fishing got pretty good. Natural cover seemed to work the best with shallow diving crankbaits in blue/silver colors. We managed over 30 fish by the time we went in for the day, with only a few under 14" for the whole day. Target the laydowns with fast moving shallow divers (lipless or squarebills).
