I mainly fish from the West Side but tried to see what I could find coming from the north. Check Navionics for structure. I stayed between 15-20 feet working points and steep drop-offs into flat basins and found perch. I would use a rattling spoon to call them in tipped with wax worms. Today they didn't want to bite so I sized down to a tungsten jig. After trying several other colors (white, motor oil, and green pumpkin) I was able to start catching them on a pink plastic.

This lake takes on a vast amount of pressure during the spring and summer months from anglers to water enthusiasts, however if you managed to stick it out until the fall season, this lake has a tremendous upside. focus on fishing main lake points and shallow flats with crankbaits at moderate to fast retrieve. Texas rigged senkos also produced a number of healthy fish as well

Started fishing at sunrise. Used plastics only by Hawg Pourz. Did try to use waxies but was frustrated that they kept getting but off so I switched to plastics only and they were still biting. After catching limit I switched up baits and tried jogging with the smallest acme hyper-hammer and the crappie were surprisingly biting on it. Also used a northland buckshot with a clam silkie on it and that produced as well.
