Fishing main lake points in 12 to 14 feet of water on the outside weed edge produced bites when dragging the drop shot slowly back to the boat. A drop shot length between 12-18 inches is what I used.

Fishing report 7/21 - Fished the evening hours from about 5:30-7:30p in the lily pads. Bite was slow, missed a few blowups but finally set it on a decent sized largemouth before the night was over. Key was patience, was I slowed the retrieve down and let it really sit in the breaks between pads that’s when strikes came.

Won a tournament out here throwing big Carolina rigs into thick weeds in 8-9 foot of water. Great Lake with some big bass wish I could have seen them pre-spawn because they certainly had room to grow. I used the yum pulse swimbait to mimic dying shad. There wasn’t an option for the yum pulse so I wrote it here.
