Outing was for 11/1/2025. I fished from about noon to 4:30pm. The weather started out calm, with wind increasing throughout the day. It was weird weather as it started out warmer than it ended and it gradually became more overcast. Water was between 50 and 51.5 and the air temp was probably in the low 40's all day. Fishing was slow, tried shallow docks and structure, had one on that I lost. Then caught two out on weedlines in around 9 feet of water. One on a jig and one on a drop shot. One thing I did observe was that there were tons of large and small pike up shallow feeding on sunfish. They were quite active. I didn't see nearly as many bass up shallow, but lots of big pike! Overall a nice day out on the water, just not very many bites!

This lake can be your best friend or worst enemy. I suggest fishing it on weekdays as this lake is flooded with recreational boaters on Fri through Sunday (not so much in the Fall though) Flip jigs and Texas rigs in the shallow timber when the water temps fall below 56. If the temps are still up there in the mid to high 50s, focus on the reeds near the launch or directly right of the launch. They seem shallow but certain areas hold some larger holes or depth that keep slow bass relevant to the area. If you have the correct equipment, side-scan and find the rock piles in 14-25ft and you can have a really good time if they are biting. Neko Rig, Football Jigs, Deep Cranks, and Senkos are good players on Medicine Lake.

Decent size pike anywhere from 5-25 feet with submerged coontail. Could cast from sight with light wind. Drag/bounce jerk baits point-to-point when wind picks up.
