Found some fish in the pads. It was a hot bite close to Dark. A little bit of wind helped. Boat position was key.

Only had a few hours, but got out early and through the swim jig around submerged grass clumps in 10-15 fow. Helped to have schools of crappie near.

Tried fishing rock humps and points with deep cranks and football jigs. Unfortunately no luck. Only a few nice fat northern pike. Ugh.

Caught them in isolated grass in about 6-8'. Craw tube and a VMC Tokyo rig was getting the bigger bites.
