Weather was sunny and calm, total bluebird day. Marked fish from 15-22 feet but more lookers than biters. Best of the day went 5.5 lbs and nibbled the ned rig with the softest bite imaginable.

On September 1st I went over to Mille Lacs. I ended up just throwing an Alabama Rig the entire time, did not catch any big ones, but caught a lot of em, must of them were right around the 3 pound mark. The golden eye from outkast is the perfect swimbait head for this rig as it has a stout hook, so it won't bend out. I throw this on the Phoenix M1 casting rod, 7'8" heavy, with the softer tip you can cast it a mile
