Got out for a few hours and fished the lower end of the pool. Caught a handful frogging around some more isolated matted grass. Also picked one up on black/blue swimjig along some riprap.

Water temps are in the mid 80’s on the main channel. Water level was pretty low and typical clarity. We focused on secondary channels with moderate flow. Key spots were inside bends with 6-8 feet off water and isolated laydowns. Our most productive spot was a flat just inside of a creek mouth that had current pushing over it. It had a lot of submerged wood and some isolated grass patches. We made several passes and caught 20-25 keepers off of it. Key baits most of the day included 3/8 ounce white Jackhammers with a Big Bite Baits Swimon, 1/4 ounce white OutKast swimjig with a 4” white curl tail trailer and white double willow 3/8 spinnerbait. The key was to make contact with the cover to illicit a strike.
