We used slip bobbers at 8 to 10 feet to catch suspended fish. In the video below, we found large areas close to shore where the Bluegill were spawning. Fun stuff with my son and and grandkids!

Finding some of the shallowest lily pads that are on a flat has been the best. Throwing a swimjig with a swim bait trailer and bouncing it off of the pad stems has been producing the bites along with flipping a jig into pad clumps.
