TechniqueShallow Diving Crankbaits (0-6')SeasonSummerStructureFlooded BrushWas cranking the bank line with a crank bait in the brightest color I had on me at the time. The water was chocolate milk and nasty. This did the job. Only caught a few, but it was fun. Unfortunately, he choked it down and hard a hard time getting the hook out.

TechniqueSpinnerbaitsSeasonSummerStructureHumpsThe actual Bait was a "River2Sea Ish Monroe Bling Double Willow Spinnerbait" (I Know It Color). Reel was a 13 Fishing concept z2 slide (7.5.1). Was also fishing with the Megabass spinner bait that day, so I added it here because that was the closest option. Sucker weighed in at 9.22 lbs. Was fishing blowups on flats and humps to the side of the main channel in less than 2ft of water. Second time that day and caught another one that was right 8.5 lbs. Hammered that spinner bait like a beast and drug me around in a kayak for more than a few minutes. Not the target species, but man, a lot of fun!

TechniqueSoft JerkbaitsSeasonSummerStructureRip RapIt is freaking hot! They are looking for shade just like the rest of us. Was catching them flipping from the kayak to shaded spots on the bank. The Keitech easy shiner seemed to work better weightless than a fluke style bait it seems. They like the kicking of the tail when ripping it just like a fluke. This one was under a bridge along a rip rap bank. Transition from 2-3ft of water to 12ft within a 30 food distance and right on the shade line. Was a good day all in all.
