TechniqueFootball JigsSeasonSummerStructureDocksIt was a hot, hot day on Old Hickory. We found some nice bass in 10-15 feet on structure. We weighted in a 14 pound bag and took 1st place.

TechniqueTubesSeasonSummerStructureDocksCaught this one up shallow near a dock. A few fish were around the docks up shallow but not many. I had more luck with this bait and also drop shotting in 20ft or so of water with a 2 inch easy shiner.

TechniqueSoft JerkbaitsSeasonSummerStructureRip RapIt is freaking hot! They are looking for shade just like the rest of us. Was catching them flipping from the kayak to shaded spots on the bank. The Keitech easy shiner seemed to work better weightless than a fluke style bait it seems. They like the kicking of the tail when ripping it just like a fluke. This one was under a bridge along a rip rap bank. Transition from 2-3ft of water to 12ft within a 30 food distance and right on the shade line. Was a good day all in all.

TechniqueSpoonsSeasonSummerStructureLedgesThe ledges are on fire when the current is pumping. With the rainfall and fairly light temps the bite has been very good lately. Finding the right ledges holding fish is another story. Most of my bites have come in 15ft, but have had them as shallow as 6 foot on top of the ledge. This mixed in with a jig and shakeyhead and you should be golden for finding some better than average fish.
