Laydowns
Flipping black/blue jig/creature bait along laydowns in the shallow timber in the back of Saddle Creek yielded several largemouth bass during bright sunny days when the bass pushed under cover to hide from the sunlight.

Laydowns
Early in the year when the water is still cool but days are warming, don't sleep on dropping an old school tube next to laydowns. Pulled a nice 20inch 5 pounder out from under a log that was hiding from the overhead mid-day sun. Also found a few active chasers along bridge rip-rap as they were heading back to the shallows from the main lake on a chatterbait.
