Bass fishing is back in action on pelican lake! Opening weekend saw temps around 52 degrees on the main lake! Grab your jerkbait and go target black spots or irregularities on main lake flats leading to spawning grounds. The smallmouth are moving up in waves and chasing around schools of perch as they get ready to spawn. The wind and conditions will position the bait and the smallies are generally right there with them! The megabass 110 in perch was my best producer, with the berkley stunna working in a little deeper areas on the flats.

The fall feed is on! Topwater is producing good bites around lily pads and mats, work frogs with a number of pauses for the best results.
