Targeted rock piles that would run about 30 feet out into the water in the 6-15ft of water. I would change between throwing a DT-8 all the way up to a DT-14 depending on the depth and how tall the boulders were. The bluegill color I tagged above was the key to getting all the bites.

First time to Pelican, very interesting lake. Fished the west side mainly for 2 days. Very shallow, flat lake with so much grass. Ended up keying in on an awesome frog bite. Fish were not tucked on the shoreline, but rather around emergent grass or floating mats in the middle of the bays. Great size quality of fish as well. Didn’t have time to really chase the smallmouth around, but there are so many rock/sand/grass transitions that I found on my mega360 that would definitely be spot to look at.
