TechniqueTexas Rigs (Pitch/Flip)SeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureDocksCaught this 18” 2.91 lb Largemouth early afternoon with the sun high in the sky. I was quickly hoping the craw between a pontoon on a lift and the dock in the shaded area. Water depth was 3-4 ft and weeds/grass were moderate.

TechniqueTexas Rigs (Pitch/Flip)SeasonSpring (Spawn)StructureDocks1000 partly cloudy. Not really Texas Rig, just a straight Sleeper Craw dragging and hoping off the bottom in a foot to 2 feet of water along side a dock. Bass was 17” 2.11lbs. A Pike liked the Sleep Craw as well and lost another smaller bass on it too.

TechniqueTexas Rigs (Pitch/Flip)SeasonSpring (Spawn)StructureDocks17.5 in Bass caught dragging a 1/4 oz Texas Rig with a Hella Crawz next to a dock. It was pretty windy with chop on the water and was in about 3.5 ft of water.

TechniqueFinesse JigsSeasonSpring (Pre-Spawn)StructureDocksI was trying out a new ultralight rod set up with a 1000 size spinning real. 8lb braid to a 4lb fluorocarbon leader. Slowly drug the ball jig head and snack craw (similar to a Ned rig) right along side the dock. Lost this bass (or another) on the first cast and caught the bass on the other side of the dock on the the third cast. The bass was only 12 inches long, but was fun catch and release. I’ve heard a lot of hype about Great Lakes Finesse and I’m really impressed with this bait for the short period of time I used it.

Crappie
TechniqueBobbersSeasonSpring (Pre-Spawn)StructureSubmerged VegetationWas out on the south end and caught some fish anywhere from 4-9 feet of water. Just using bobbers and minnows it’s still half ice but I was not to bad lot of fish were 5-8 inch crappies. Lake has gone very down hill. But look for minnows and crappies should be near off any drops or up in the shollow in brush piles go catch em !
