White Bass
TechniqueSpinnerbaitsSeasonSummerStructureBaitfishWent fishing for largemouth and ended up having a blast catching white bass! These things were schooling everywhere on the lake over shallow flats near the 4ft weed lines. They were hitting top water and spinner baits. The bass man compact spinner bait was the ticket for the most bites but more fun was really coming from the pop max on those explosive top water strikes! We’re still slightly within a full moon window and the weather was overcast all day which got these neat fish biting! Fun times.

Largemouth Bass
TechniqueNeko RigsSeasonSummerStructureStumpsFished hard for four days on Cross / Pokegama and the Snake River in Pine City! We found big fish in all three bodies of water but they were scattered quite a bit. Natural colors seemed to work well with a neko rig or jig flipped around wood and docs. My buddy in the picture caught our biggest fish, had the body of a 6 but weighed about 4.5. On tournament day we had a few nice blowups on the frog but the big girls just didn’t commit to it putting us in 5th place overall on what seemed like a tougher bluebird sky day. Congratulations to the winners!
