I was out fishing the edges along the rocks using a buzzbait and the smallmouth were absolutely destroying it. Then where there were some floating weeds I would switch to my frog and the large mouths would hit on that. The key was to focus on casting the buzzbait parallel to the rocks about a foot away from shore and slowly retrieving it back.

With a significant drop in water but still significant current, the fish moved and scattered. Few decent fish by wood/sand in shallow water in currents off the main channel. Squarebill was productive.

Was able to work top water in many spots in the back water on pool 5. the sloppier the better. They seem to like the frogs very slow and the spooks work them fast with short pauses. My buddy and I had a 50+ fish day and the bass are eatin

Sand drop offs with good current, also had largies. Really good fish but needed to find the right spot, fish were bunched up. Lots on all sorts of moving baits. Few on a worm too.
