Locate ROCKY points, key thing is there MUST BE ROCK. With the jig, cast off the point into the deeper portion of the point. target anywhere from 5-35ft of the points. allow it to sink all the way down and slowly drag mixed with some SMALL and light hops about 6 inches off the bottom. you should be able to feel the rocks you are crawling over. You will feel mush or the fish running with it when they have in their mouths. 95% off my fish from this tourney came off this pattern and we had a 30-40+ fish day doing this. hope this helps!

Lots of these Crappie were in the spawn and many moving into the spawn. target lead in banks and the back of pockets. Within those areas gravel and baseball sized rocks were the best but I found them in everything including weedy areas. with the curly tail, cast cost to the short and work your way to the boat or throw parallel (0-5ft) from bank and swim it SLOWLY back. Colors that worked the best were Black+chartreuse, and White.
