Although I put shad under forage, bass are so complex in their diet. Most of the time bass eat Shad all year round with bluegill and crawfish making up a huge portion of the diet in spring time. Brush piles in 10-15ft of water are amazing early summer as bass start to move onto their summer stuff. I recommend throwing a wide variety of baits from craws to flukes. Many brush piles are found on main lake points or on flats around spawning pockets.

Focus on the wind blown sides of the points; slowly drag and pop worm. Also have fun with the sand bass and crappie if the LM bass aren't biting. They like smaller hair jigs w/ spinners.
