TechniqueSpinnerbaitsSeasonSummerStructureMatted GrassWorked my way around a flat, maybe eight to ten feet deep, down to dirt. Boat got stuck… Huge grass mat in the middle, worked the edges and anywhere I thought I could swim through. This one hit right after ripping through a clump. Sunny day, little to no wind. Handful more hit skipping under some overhangs, then a couple decent on a ned trd from the bank after I loaded the boat.

Smallmouth Bass
TechniqueSpinnerbaitsSeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureLaydownsSunny day, little breeze back of a cover from the bank. First cast, put it over a log into some shaded stuff and this brown beauty came back up and over with it. Hit it as soon as it touched the water.

TechniqueBladed JigsSeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureSubmerged VegetationCrappy day, the weather, not the fishes… rained, all day. Windy, all day. Cold, all week. I caught a few dinks on ned rigs to start. Then switched to a chatterbait to try for something bigger and lucked out. All in four feet of water or less, mostly less. All tucked in pretty heavy stuff tight to the banks.

TechniqueBladed JigsSeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureSubmerged VegetationRained pretty good right before I went out a couple hours before sundown, then again while I was out. Fishing from the bank casting to clumps I could see, could decent ones hit my lure right after busting through or by some fairly thick stuff.
