I found a flat the was 2-4' deep and had red horse all over it. I had heard word that a Muskie was roaming on it so I started throwing a double bladed spinner hard bait in fire tiger color. I had caught several Northern in the 20-25" range and had one big blow-up but a miss. I threw into the same area again and half way.thru the retrieve my bait got crushed! The fish ran for a good 20 yards before I could turn it I was sure I had a Muskie until I got it along side my kayak to reveal a monster Northern! The fish measured nearly 40" and put up one heck of a fight!
