Largemouth BassTechniqueDrop ShotSeasonFallStructureLedgesFish are deep. 30 foot. Fish the ledges and we caught some good fish. Finesse drop shot techniques work best. Light flourocarbon line seems to get more bites.

Largemouth BassTechniqueNed RigsSeasonFallStructureHumpsEvening bite is hot! After the solar eclipse, the fish were closed lip. This evening was a different story. We caught at least 30 fish in 30+ feet of water using the NED. Fall in these desert lakes are better in the afternoon / evening. The fish were hitting it on the fall and on the bottom. I use a 1/10oz Ned head to keep it on top of the grass.

Largemouth BassTechniqueSpinnerbaitsSeasonFallStructureSubmerged VegetationFishing early morning and late afternoon has produced better quality fish. Targeting deep structure and grass lines with a spinnerbait has been the ticket for larger fish. Drop shots and under spins also produce a lot of bites, just not the size. Fish can be caught at depths between 10 and 40 feet. Find the structure and grass edges for best success.

Largemouth BassTechniqueDrop ShotSeasonFallStructureBouldersFished the Kayak Fishing Utah State Championship on Oct 3rd 2020 and Oct 4th 2020. Drop Shot was the technique. Caught 5 LMB prefishing on Oct. 2nd, 3 LMB on tourney day 1 and 2 on tourney day 2. I had several fish jump off my board into the water, so my numbers surpassed my tournament results.

Largemouth BassTechniqueStructure JigsSeasonFallStructureOpen Water/BasinFish were out in 30’ until dark. Then they moved up shallow to feed on bluegill fry. Stroked them on an Omega Tackle Custom Jig and Strike King 4” Rage Bug trailer in green pumpkin. Also boated several using the Green Pumpkin Finesse TRD Ned. Work them slow from deep to shallow targeting transition areas as they were moving up and down all night.
