The vegetation is growing, so the drop shot rig and neko rig down deep is working well. Fish something that stays up above the thick vegetation.

drop shot was king during this tough day, roughly 70 kayak anglers on the water during a tournament, working this drop shot along the rip rap wall was the most effective way to elicit bites

Had my best single day, so far, fishing the Kayak Fishing Utah State Championship. 84.25" to include my PB and tied for the largest Bass in a KFU tourney. I was fishing the Dark Sleeper of humps on flats in 25-30' of water. Slow rolling it on the bottom, and hopping it up followed by a couple seconds of fast reeling. Lots of fish, with most being pretty decent Utah bass.

a Carolina Rig is a really good bait for me almost year round offshore at sand hollow. a lot of people throw a drop shot and although that gets bit, I have found Carolina Rig can get a couple extra bites or a bigger bite. Fish in 20-30 feet around the two dams or any offshore grass and rock transitions.

Use the rocky bottom to your advantage! bouncing a ned off the rocks gave me most of my bites. hope it along the bottom, the tapping of the ned head on rocks I think was the most productive.
