Wait for the shad to come to the banks, usually around 11:00 till 12:00 PM and use your favorite topwater wake bait parallel to the bank. Largemouth, smallmouth and stripers are the usual targets, but you may also catch tge occasional flathead catfish. Make sure to use at least 15 lb. test line and check for abrasions regularly.

Work your bait dirt shallow along rip rap banks that have shad spawn activitiy going on have had most of my success closer to the main lake on points some can be cought in pockets all my fish were cought in a 100 yard stretch of rip rap
