The lake is fishing pretty well. I was skipping a weightless wacky worm under trees in pockets of shade on the lower end of the lake. I used the missile baits 48 in green pumpkin flash.

Smith Mountain is fishing lights out right now. You can catch them in several way deep or shallow . Most fish are coming off main lake or towards the mouths of creeks. Most my fish have came fishing a jig and top water.
