Last Saturday, we fished the Summer Bass Brawl on Stockton out of Old State Park. Stockton’s bite is super tough right now. We started deeper—found a few fish but couldn’t catch them. We switched to flipping bushes, but that bite was also tough. We had six keeper bites all day, landed five for 10.82 lbs—just one spot out of the money. The lake’s fishing stingy, but we caught them flipping a Motion Fishing Tungsten Tank Jig in the bushes, and out deep, I used a 6” Sakamata Shad on a 1/4 oz Chompers jighead. If you’re heading to Stockton, keep an open mind—check deep, check shallow, and hopefully, you’ll find them. Need gear? Use code LUKE10 at Omnia for 10% off!”
