TechniqueBladed JigsSeasonSummerStructureRock PileWe were finding our fish on shallower and mid depth rocky points. The points could be secondary or main lake but had to have deep water close by. The fish seem to be setting up shallower than in years past in that 8 to 15 ft. We caught a load of fish just throwing the chatterbait if they were suspended and the worm if they were in the bottom. Bite seems to hold good around most of the lake some points have them and some don’t. Points with wind were a touch better but wasn’t much of a breeze last night. TechniqueFootball JigsSeasonSummerStructurePointsWent out for a fun fishing day after the cold front had hit and the fish were doing a lot of different things here is how my day went. Started hour throwing Topwater with just a couple shorts then moved to the Motion Fishing Gill Candy football jig to fish some points. Fish were not schooled up but there were bites to be had. Checked the brushpiles and it’s still not that great but caught a few in a Texas rigged senko. Made a little run to some dirtier water and found the fish eating a square bill and a Motion Fishing Swim Jig. Look like the lake was alive seen tons of bait and prolly caught 10ish keeper fish. This cold front is usually the start of the fall transition, I figure to see a lot of fish doing a lot of different things here in the next week or two so pay attention to may page for more reports 🎣

TechniqueFootball JigsSeasonSummerStructurePointsStockton is fishing tough right now. The key right now is finding the bass by themselves. There is a lot of trash fish on the main lake points and in brush piles. Some bass are mixed on with them, but for the most part its hard to target them mixed in. Spend time scanning around and find bait and the bass seperated on bottom away from other species of fish.

TechniqueShakey HeadsSeasonSummerStructureBrush PilesFishing brush piles in 15-30 feet of water depending on the depth of the drop off in the area you are in. Fish smaller shakey heads (4-5 inches) and if consistently getting bit, try a larger one. Mainly soaking the worm with a few shakes in between sits.
