TechniqueTexas Rigs (Pitch/Flip)SeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureFlooded BrushStockton was 7’ over full pool on my outing and it was raining off and on. Flipping bite was good in the first half of the cove in the clearer water. Switch to a chatter bait in the back half or dirty water. Caught 10+ quality largemouth. Extremely fun way to catch them! Make sure to flip your bait well into the cover and use heavy enough line to drag them out.

TechniqueSoft Body Swimbaits (Large)SeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureFlooded BrushThe lake came up a couple feet we just moved into the summer bass brawl tournament. The morning bite was slow but picked up in the afternoon when there was some sun. Threw Swimbaits all day and was lucky enough to wrangle up 16.21lbs and come in second. The fish are getting post spawn and changing by the day. Now is a good time to get out in the lake and do some fishing. There’s offshore fish and plenty of fish up in the bushes to be Swimbaited and flipped 💪

TechniqueFinesse JigsSeasonSummerStructureFlooded BrushStockton is currently about 2 1/2' high and there are some bushes in the water. Up the river, I found some bass super shallow in the shade of the bushes. Between the bluegill spawn, fry guarders, and late spawners, there is still a shallow bite in the pockets, especially in the dirtier water.

TechniqueHard Topwater (Prop)SeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureSubmerged VegetationTough day on Stockton for us on Sun 5/29. Water is still way high and lots of trees/bushes in the water so we decided to try shallow but didn't work out. Had 1 fish blow up on topwater but missed it and lost 1 on a spinnerbait in a bush. Water temp was 68 and we put in at Mutton Creek. Always nice to get out on the water!
