Also caught a few Spots on dropshot in the trees using Geecrack Bellows gill 2.8" with a Mustad Alpha-Grip #1. All in the Midlake area.

Fish were concentrated where channel bends were up against the bank. Early morning till about 10:00 buzzbaits or whopper poppers parallel with the bank were triggering explosive strikes from both largemouth and spotted bass. Later in the day trick worms pulled down the gut of the channel at the very upper end of the drain in 3-5 feet of water continued to generate bites. 1 in 10 would be a keeper on the worm and 1 in 3 on the top water. All together I caught about 35 fish in 2 mornings from about 6:30 to 11:30 am from the shell knob area to eagle rock area.

Fished the Kimberling City area from 6pm-midnight. Fished points, bluff ends and brush piles. No moon, light breeze and almost no boat traffic after dark. Bite was very slow!

Catching fish out of the tree tops that top out in 20-25 feet. Using drop shots and "video game" fishing. Switch up the baits on the drop shot to trigger bites. Different colors often help.

Having fun in last hour before dark on topwater. Best luck on 45 degree rocky banks, many hits coming very close to bank as bass move in to feed. Following up short strikes with worm is fun, too.

Look for creek bends near any secondary banks, the bigger the chunk rock , the bigger the fish will be that live there. Stay in 20ft and ignore the flooded bushes til late afternoon on sunny bright days
