TechniqueFootball JigsSeasonSummerStructurePointsDrag heavier football jigs across rock points, usually you can pull up on a point and catch a couple fairly quick. Keep hopping points if the first few didn't work, don't spend too much time in one area. Good time of year to catch a 5 fish limit of 12-15 lbs

TechniqueBuzzbaitsSeasonFallStructureLaydownsFishing in the rivers right now is getting much better. Throwing a buzzbait around shallow hard cover can produce many bites. Throw a buzzbait or a squarebill around this hard cover in the morning and slow down with a jig in the afternoon.

Walleye
TechniqueDrop ShotSeasonFallStructureBouldersStill catching several nice walleye on isolated bolder piles out on points. Catching a few on deep trees also but the better quality fish have been on the points in the bottom. The bass fishing has been good in similar areas using the same drop shot. This pattern has held up from the dam all the way to shell knob and most the way up the James. The better walleye fishing has definitely been on lower end and up the white. The bass fishing has been good all thru the lake we’ve just had to spend a lil time idling some days to figure out where they have moved to. Get out and enjoy the weather and the fishing. I’m booked solid for the most part but I’d be happy to help you find a guide that will get you on the fish this fall. Give me a call at 417-838-3122
