Morning bit off pints with spinnerbait pulled them up from 10'-16' depths. Afternoon pushed the bite to the bottom with shakeyhead.

The smallies were on flatter points with gravel/chunk rock mix. Large mouth and spots came on steeper banks with bigger chunk rock. We had 15lbs in just a couple hours once the sun got up. Stay in the wind if possible. 4.30 smallie and 4.27 largemouth 2.40 spot. I had the best luck on Norman NXS but they aren’t listed on Omnia right now.

Bigger fish activated on dropshot using Geecrack Bellows Gill and Mustad Alpha Point #1. Bait keeper on hook works well for weedless presentation.

Fished main lake pockets with wood in them. Bigger class fish would come out of those piles to check out the swimbait. Tricking them with small twitches seem to entice them to close the distance on the bait. Several missed opportunities and should have kept it in my hand all day!

Caught fish in brush piles and in trees all day then on the last spot we fished had deep trees with shallow water brush near by and the wind and waves have been hitting the spot all day so threw glide in there and caught 2 really good fish pretty quick

Was a pretty good day overall. Caught probably 30 with 7 or 8 keepers. Lost a couple decent ones early on a topwater that would have given me a decent bag.
