It was a grind Saturday (6/4), only managed one solid keeper with a skipping jig under a shallow dock in the 3ft. range on the west end of the lake. Texas rig craw caught some fish but in the 12 to 13in. range along similar shallow banks with docks. Saw multiple cruising bass but no takers with a senko.

Controlled drifts right outside the weed lines and in scattered weed clumps got me my bites today. Jig/minnow set 1-2’ off bottom got me multiple crappie as well as a few nice bluegill.

After failing to find a bite with deep cranks in 15-25’ of water, despite marking many fish, I switched to confidence and flipped docks dragging 10” worm. Key was paralleling docks on the shaded side during this sunny blue bird summer day. Nothing like seeing your line start moving sideways!!

Caught a couple largemouth on rip/rap banks with some docks being a factor. You had to work the bait very slow with bites being very subtle.
