What You Need to Know About Fishing Unicorn Mill Pond

Unicorn Mill Pond is a 43 Acre Impoundment that has a maximum depth of 8 feet and an average depth of 4 ft. It is located 1 mile south of Millington and has an access point at Unicorn Fishing Lake Park. There is no size limit to boat or motor but there is a lake wide 6 knot speed limit. Electric trolling motors are preferred. The major tributary is Unicorn Branch which provides cold water year-round. Although you can catch pickerel, perch, sunfish, and catfish this lake is primarily managed for largemouth bass and bluegill. Many different structure types provide great cover for the bass. Fallen trees, two islands, and several vegetation types provide great fishing spots throughout the year. Jigs, Texas rigged soft plastics or wacky rigged baits are all great option for getting bites. Bluegill and other panfish can be caught with a worm and bobber by the dam where old Christmas trees have been placed for added habitat.
