Getting off the first break was key and pitching the Ned rig so it just barely hopped out of the cabbage to a cleaner bottom. Slow was the name of the game most of the bites came completely deadstick. Just reeling up to weight in the line. 12-14 foot was our benchmark depth.

Squarebills and spinnerbaits were best around cabbage and mix of green grass, plenty of cooperative largemouth and pike on moving baits when you got around them in 5-10'
