TechniqueTexas Rigs (Pitch/Flip)SeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureDocksThere are a lot of post-spawn fry guarders and resident females hanging out shallow around docks and laydowns. I broke down each dock from multiple angles and was able to catch several fish off every one.

TechniqueDeep Diving Crankbaits (13'+)SeasonSummerStructureLedgesFish have moved out to summer patterns. Ledges, deep points on main channel, bluff walls, and about any piece of cover you can find off shore will be holding a few bass. Sometimes you will have to work through the junk fish to catch one but they will be there. You can still catch them up on bank also if that’s what you would rather do. I go finesse drop shot or shakey head or Neko rig around lay down and docks.

TechniqueHard Topwater (Popping)SeasonSummerStructureLedgesEven though the Mayfly hatch over with, throwing a popping style top water bait around steep banks with overhangs and lay downs is still producing fish. They don’t seem to be grouped up, so keep trolling motor on high and cover water.

TechniqueHard Topwater (Popping)SeasonSummerStructureBrush PilesShad and bluegill are heavy on the may fly hatch right now, so i’ve been flipping a fluke around brush and under lay downs and throwing a pop r and they really seem to be dialed in on that.

TechniqueDrop ShotSeasonSummerStructureBrush PilesFind some offshore isolated brush and it will be holding a few bass. I seem to get more bites on the finesse presentations. Sometimes I can get them to fire dragging a big worm.
