Water temps on the main lake were still in the lower 50's and the water is crystal clear so the fishing was tough. Go into the canals where the water is a little dirtier and temps are in the upper 60s. Largemouth are moving everywhere in the canals but finding the right ones to bite can be a challenge. Early in the morning the top water bite is amazing. Fan cast a buzzbait around and you'll be sure to catch multiple bass. A chatterbait worked well early in the morning and convinced a few big females cruising around to bite. There were a decent amount of bass on beds and will be even more as the days go by. I recommend throwing a jig at them if they are locked on beds. A frog was working along shorelines and even in open water areas. If the bite slows down try throwing a wacky rig at laydowns and around docks. There are a lot of big bass feeding, many 17" and larger.
