This lake has very little grass. If you have side imaging scan the flats and find the isolated weeds or shallow boulders in the middle of the lake. Each isolated weed patch had smallmouth sitting in them. Stay as far away as you can and make a long cast so you don’t spook the smallmouth. Drop shot was putting the bait right in front of them and they were hitting it hard.
