Early October I am finding fish in deep heavy current areas where islands and depth changes intensify current velocity. Cruise the edges of points and shoals where depth drops quickly from 15 foot flats to 30+ feet. Watching your electronics for fish or bait. When you find them there should be multiples drop a waypoint and maybe even an old fashion marker buoy to help stay on the spot in the current. The fish respond quickly when you drop that goby imitation on them.
