Reeds with a minimum of 4+ ft of water (because it's so clear) particularly not far from a drop off or rocky bottom, the smallmouth would hit this particular whopper plopper in this darker color over the lighter ones. Any size smallie from 1-5 lbs would attack/follow and of course were more aggressive as the sun was going down. Recommend tying directly to braid.
