Had some nice results on rip rap shorelines, casting right to the water's edge and bouncing the crank bait back down the rocks. The largies are definitely munching on crawdads right now!

Spawning season and the algae are slowly coming back due to the sunlight. The chatter bait was the perfect bait to float above the submerged plants and this 4lber came and smashed it

the bite is on fire right now. Shallow fish... Look for bait and start throwing your favorite shad imitator. Big fish will be on beds in the next couple of days. Shad spawn will be full on... Fish the conditions as the weather is changing by the hour right now but if you adjust you will get bit. Best 5 for 32lb bag this day! Catching a 5-8lber right now on Clear Lake is almost too easy.

Was tossing it near laydowns and thought I had a snag because it was a very subtle pick up. Then tried getting the snag out and my line started moving to the left and then 5 minutes later a 6.25lb large mouth blackbass ready for spawn!

I rigged up this Yamamoto senko Niko rigged and not super straight but with a curve so that on the fall it spirals downward and gets the bass attention. Worked great all day and got in some nice size bass. Good luck!!!

Fishing was tough but dare I say still good. The overnight temps were low. In the 30's which I think set things back a bit along with the approaching front but the first half of the day was sunny and calm. I got to work doing what I love to do this time of year. Swim Jig!!! Take it slow. Keep it low for the next week or two until they really push up. Look for the warmer areas of the lake. Most guys were fishing off shore with a rigs and finesse or scoping. I was up beating the banks or really just from the edge of the flooded brush out about 10'. I had about 24 lbs. My partner had 2 small fish. I had to work for every bite. I think I caught only 8 or 9 fish all day. Largest went 7. Smallest was 3 something. I was using an ALX Oxim to catch fish. IDK why Omnia refuses to carry ALX when they are some of the best rods out there. d Good luck out there.
