I was actually targeting pike or Muskie around shallow Lilly pad fields when this quality largie showed himself. There are multiple pad fields through the southern part of the lake. I was just targeting the edges and keeping the bait as shallow as possible. The water is very clear but tannic. This color Jerkbaits stands out but still stealthy! The fast action on this Bass X works well to send the bait. As far as the line goes I trust sunlime FC sniper more than any other Fluoro!

Had to fish Inside the weed line towards shore….this one was on the corner of a dock…on the other side of the lake you had to fish the weed line outside away from shore as it was deeper. All in 4-6 feet of water

Not really a dock but the wall in the yacht club always seems to hold something. This one was 17.75” and 3-12….pitched the wacky between two boats right on the wall and let it soak….

Hit the water around 5:00 and started fishing at 5:30. The smoke from the fires in Canada made the conditions significantly overcast. There was about consistent 9mph wind from the NE when we hit the water as well. Started off throwing a Rat-L-Trap with no bites and a LOT of grass. Decided to switch to the new Shallow Megabass 110 and got a keeper on the second bite. We kept on heading down the same grassline and I put another one in the boat a few minutes later. We were still moving pretty fast at this point and we rounded a bit of a corner and didn't have any hits for 30-40 minutes so we went back to where we started and ran the same stretch again putting two more in the boat with the same jerkbait. My co-angler put my spare 110sr on and put some in the boat as well with it. We kept on hitting the same 250yards of grassline over and over again, picking up bass every run. As the sun went down I picked up two more on the PopMax as well, one really nice smallie. We ended up culling about 5 times during the night and were throwing 2's back by the end of the night. We ended up winning with 12.85lbs with a 3.5lb being our largest, big bass was a 4.5lb smallie if I heard correctly.

Has a good time fishing from the pier today. The Goby colored Senko was the ticket. It was clearing up after a cold front & the worked the best. I really liked the Sufix Revolve braided line. It seems a little stiffer than other braids & more manageable with a breeze.

Prespawn bite on Ned’s were hot in the afternoon. Bass were moved up in shallow water on large pieces of isolated timber near deep water dropoffs. Color choice was perfect for the crystal clear water. Must have hit her on the head. She was there as soon as I flipped the bait. 19” and 4#s

We caught a bunch of fish but had a really hard time figuring out a pattern. We did catch a few of our nicest ones around docks on a jackhammer. The bite seemed to slow down in the “golden hour” as the wildfire haze rolled in and it started to cool off.

Absolutely CRACKED em on jigs of all varieties on Silver lake. I fished from the paddleboard, fishing weed lines, and color lines. I caught my numbers with the 1/4oz Z-Man Mini Max Chatterbait in bluegill, and caught my BIG fish with the 1/2oz Beast Coast Lil’ Magnum jig in stealth craw, and a Green Pumpkin Blue Rapala Bronco bug as trailer. GREAT fishing on this lake. Also caught some slab crappie on that mini max as well!
