Fished a club tournament as was able to put together a limit on both Friday and Saturday fishing docks and points. My 2 best fish were caught in shallow coves near docks throwing a Shakey had with a Mission Quiver 6.5" worm. Other fish came on the keitech 2.8" and a drop shot. Some smaller fish came on Megabass Karashi's.

Caught 5 today, they were so small I didn’t bother getting a picture, caught those on a wacky rig. Tied on the rattle trap and trolled it behind the kayak on the way back to the boat ramp and caught this guy. 1.5 pounder or so, out on Lake Sutton NC.

North winds had been hammering creek arms the entire week before creating much needed current. I targeted docks in the wind with a square bill, then back side (wind protected side) of points with a chatter bait. This pattern produced a 7.37lb bass (pictured) on the crank bait. Also, finished 2nd in a local tournament. Did most damage early morning but as the front broke and sun peaked out I had to switch over to a wacky rig.

I caught this big one off of its bed in very hot water for that time of year. I snuck to where the fish couldn’t see me and the flip the tube on her bed she ignored it for a minute but i hopped it to get her attention and then let it sit in the middle of her bed she eventually got fed up with it and ate it.

There were lots of shad bait balls around the pond, so I spent the better part of morning throwing the soft jerkbait around them. Several takers, just not a single bass over 3lbs. It was a fun Father's Day nonetheless!

Fishing from shoreline, casting parallel to shore along dropoff as well as towards the dead trees in the water. Moderately fast retrieve speed to keep the fluke off the bottom. 2.5ft leader was sufficient to get very lifelike movement out of the fluke. 4/0 hook did the job perfectly.
